Building Complex Systems is never easy

As technology adoption and the number of platforms increase, across a greater number of internal and external users, identity management and data security are posing increased challenges for government and commercial organizations alike. Information is the heart of any organization and it is paramount to keep this information secure and protected. In today's global environment, which creates more demands for ways to access this information, the vulnerability of these assets has increased dramatically.

Identity and Access Management (IAM) provides an integration of logical and physical access systems and can use a token such as an identity card to integrate logical and physical systems. Bridging the path between these systems is complex and cumbersome, and is causing many agencies to delay implementation, or operate stove-piped solutions.

CNSI specializes in aligning technology solutions and business needs to overcome the challenges of building innovative systems to exacting specifications. Increased security objectives, along with    mandates and regulations, have made successful completion of IAM projects a high priority for many agencies.

What is required is a major clean-up of the identity assets to establish a role-based security posture that protects data by providing access to systems and information for only trusted and verified end-users. This consolidation of identities into a central repository provides the ability to deliver unified services to large numbers of users with efficiency and accuracy.

CNSI has mastered the complexities of IAM and is helping clients design and implement a range of solutions tailored to each agency's specific needs. As an IAM solutions provider, CNSI is vendor neutral and can help agencies create an As-Is–To-Be transition road map plan for IAM Services. Our IAM practice focuses on:

A Few of Our Successes:
  • Enabled access to FAA.gov network using FAA PIV cards by upgrading 29 domain controllers with the necessary root certificates
  • Enabled the FAA's digital signature capability using PIV cards by fully provisioning the PIV card with the necessary certificates
  • Created the FAA's logical access program management plan, project schedule, program requirements, communications plan, use/test cases and specifications, requirements traceability matrix and investment analysis readiness
  • Assisted FAA with interoperability testing between DOD and FAA to ensure compliance with E-authentication and HSPD-12 mandates.
  • Assisted FAA in testing and procuring PIV middleware for 60,000 users
